Position: Movers Administrative Assistant

Location: 556 Boulevard Maloney Est. J8P 1G1

Full Time / Part Time

Salary: $19-$22 per hour

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Movers Administrative Assistant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing administrative support to our team of movers and ensuring the smooth operation of our moving services. This position offers a salary of $19-$22 per hour and requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule moving appointments with clients, ensuring availability of movers and necessary resources
  • Communicate with clients to confirm details, finalize arrangements, and address any inquiries or concerns
  • Manage and maintain movers’ schedules, tracking appointments, and updating changes as needed
  • Create and maintain client files, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate
  • Prepare and process invoices, track payments, and maintain financial records
  • Monitor and order office supplies, ensuring inventory levels are maintained
  • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new movers, including completing necessary paperwork and scheduling training
  • Provide administrative support to the movers, including preparing paperwork, managing phone calls and emails, and coordinating travel arrangements
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless moving experience for clients
  • Maintain a clean and organized office space, including managing filing systems, photocopying, and shredding documents
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual: French -English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a moving or logistics company
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management software
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time

Salary: $25-28 per hour

Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver-Mover to join our team. As a Driver-Mover, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and belongings from one location to another.

This is a full-time position with a starting hourly rate of $25-28.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive company vehicles to transport goods and belongings to designated locations
  • Load and unload items onto the vehicle in a safe and organized manner
  • Plan the most efficient route to reach the destination on time
  • Ensure all items are secured properly during transportation
  • Communicate with clients and provide exceptional customer service
  • Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues to the supervisor
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times
  • Assist with packing and unpacking items as needed
  • Work collaboratively with a team to complete moving tasks efficiently

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Class 3 or Valid Full (Ontario or Quebec) driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • 3 years proven experience as a driver 20′-26′ trucks
  • Must be 25 years or older
  • Ability to lift heavy items (75+ pounds), bend, squat, couch, kneel and climb stairs consistently throughout the day and work in various weather conditions
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
  • No criminal record or convictions
  • Bilingual: French and English

Position: Professional Mover

Overview:

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable individual to join our team as a Professional Mover. The ideal candidate should have experience in the moving industry and possess physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of the job. The Professional Mover will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving household or commercial goods from one location to another.

This is a full-time position with a starting hourly rate of $22 to 25.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pack and load items onto the moving truck, ensuring they are properly secured and protected using blankets, tape, shrink and bubble wrap.
  • Safely transport items to the designated location.
  • Unload and unpack items at the new location, following the customer’s instructions.
  • Assemble and disassemble furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Handle fragile and valuable items with care.
  • Communicate with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environmen.
  • A team leader should properly fill the contract and make sure that the client has signed it and made the appropriete payment.
  • Monitor the availability of moving supplies in the truck before and after the move.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in the moving industry preferred.
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy items and work in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
