At our moving company, we pride ourselves on being transparent with our pricing. You won’t have to worry about any surprise charges for things like lunch breaks or fuel surcharges. We make it simple and straightforward.

How do we calculate your local move? We use the following formula: (Crew Hourly Rate x Total Time on the job) + 1 hour for Travel time

For example, if you have a 2-person crew with a 20-foot truck at $135/hour and your move takes 3 hours and 45 minutes from origin to destination, your total would be $641.25 before taxes: (labor: $135/hour X 3.75 hours =$506.25) + 1 hour of Travel time ($135/round trip).

All our 16′-20′ foot box trucks come equipped with heavy-duty furniture blankets, neoprene floor guides, dollies, moving straps, and shrink wrap (which is available upon request, free of charge). We also bring all the necessary tools to ensure your move is completed professionally.

Factors that influence the “Time” of your Local or Long Distance Move.

These variables may include the specific type of coverage you select for your belongings, the size and number of trucks needed, the distance between your old and new home, the number of flights of stairs to navigate, and whether or not the mover will have access to an elevator for transporting your items.

In addition, long distance moves may incur additional expenses such as accommodation costs for the moving crew, as well as fuel and food. To accurately determine the cost of your long distance move, we base our prices on both mileage and cargo weight.

At the end of the day, any and all factors that impact the length of your move, including the size of your move and requested services, will ultimately affect the final cost. Prior to your move, our consultant can come to your home to complete a thorough Pre-Move Inventory list of all your belongings in order to have a more accurate Binding Estimate. Or you can send us your own Inventory list of your households belongings to be moved through our Free online Estimate.

The Pre-Inventory List is essential to accurately estimating the cubic area and weight of your Household Goods. This information is crucial in determining the size of the crew, number of trucks required, and overall time needed for your move. Additionally, this weight measurement is necessary if you opt for our Weight-Based Full Value Protection Coverage.
